Using the lastest computer and telecommunications technology, the Red Cross allows military members stationed all over the world and their families to send messages to loved ones back home during an emergency or other important event.  These communications are delivered around-the-clock, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

If you need to contact a loved one in the service, please have this information ready when calling...

Branch of Service

Rank

Full name

Social Security Number

Date of Birth

Current Military Address

Your name, address and phone number where we can contact you

Your relationship to serviceperson

Any information you wish for us to pass along must be verified prior to sending the message...

If you reason for calling is a medical reason, we must know Doctors name and phone number so we can verifiy the medical issue.  You may have to call prior to give them permission to release this information to us!

If you are calling because of a death in the family, we will need the doctors name, hospital, hospice or funeral home and their phone numbers.  Having the arrangements at this time is helpful if requesting presence.

If you are sending a message of a new arrival, again we will have to verify the birth.

If you have not heard from the serviceperson in quite a while and it is unussual you have not been contacted, we can send a Health & Welfare requesting the serviceperson to give you a call or write you a letter.
