Sheltering Operations
More than 3.42 million overnight stays in almost 1,100 shelters across 27 states and the District of Columbia.

Feeding Operations
More than 27.4 million hot meals and over 25.2 million snacks have been served to survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Relief Workers
More than 219,500 trained workers from 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia.

Family Links Registry
Calls to 1-877-LOVED1S total over 223,000. On KatrinaSafe.org, over 340,000 evacuees have reported their status.

Mental & Health Services Contacts
To date, Red Cross has made more than 1,633,350 mental and health contacts related to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Clean-Up and Comfort Kits
Thanks in part to our corporate donors, we have distributed more than 318,000 comfort kits, containing basic personal health and hygiene items, and more than 190,600 clean-up kits for those returning to their homes after the hurricane hit.

LaPorte County, IN

Fifty-six families involving 100 individuals have received hurricane assistance from the LaPorte County Chapter as of December 31, 2005.

LaPorte County Chapter has given debit cards totaling $32,165 to evacuees of Katrina and Rita.

LaPorte County Chapter has deployed 24 individuals to assist with the relief effort in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

As of December 31, 2005 $302,972 has been raised from LaPorte County.

$198,367 has come into the Chapter and sent on to National
